Chateau Coliving

Once I̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶L̶i̶f̶e̶ t̶i̶m̶e̶ Upon a Time.

Play with a Handcarved Marble Chessboard

We may not have been the Home of a King, but we play like one.
We made the decision to keep most of the valuable and historical pieces in the castle for everyone to use and enjoy. We believe it is part of the charm of Château Coliving, and we love the idea of giving everyone a chance to experience what it means to live in a castle and not just in the building.

Have a Bath with the View of Baby Deer Playing Outside

As mentioned earlier, we have the chance to have deer on the property. We get to see them on quiet mornings if we stay really still.
A lot of our bathrooms (shared and private) have a bathtub and an amazing view over our park and mashes.
Any chance you get, draw yourself a bubble bath with a good book but remember to look up every now and then… you might spot Bambi.

  • Take Work Calls with a Background that Look Like a Fake Filter

We don’t know about you but we like to play with background filters on our many Zoom calls. They never seem to look quite right though.
Since we live at Château Coliving, we haven’t seen the need for it though.
Living in a castle means you have a dozen of free backdrops that will add a fancy touch to your calls and play a great ice-breaking role!

  • Have no neighbors in sight

We don’t have neighbors far and wide so if we want to have a campfire and play guitars all night or have a karaoke party we can do that without any worries of complaints.
Unless of course, this bothers some of our colivers. We always check what the community prefers and during the week, work comes first!

  • Complete Your Step Count for the Day Without Leaving the House

The castle is composed of a large dining room, 2 kitchens, an immense living room, 13 bedrooms, and 9 bathrooms connected by 2 staircases and countless steps.
If a lot of our colivers like to have regular workouts, rest assured that even the laziest of us will have leg day every day 😉

  • Sleep in a Round Bedroom

Like any self-respecting castle, we have 4 towers.
One of our budget rooms is located in one of them and it is a very special place that can rarely be experienced anywhere else!

  • Play a Game of Hide and Seek that Last Hours

We love games. We’ve played many different kinds of roleplay games over the past years.
There are so many places to hide, so many story lines inspired by the decor, and quite a few creepy places too for the occasional “zombie chase”.

  • Sleep in a Bedroom the Size of Your (Former) Flat

Most of our bedrooms, whether they are ensuite or not are the size of a small flat in a big city.
We offer large double beds, wood-carved desks, massive mirrors, plenty of space for your clothes…and a lot more space.
Quite honestly you could do everything in your room from work to practicing yoga.
But it’s so much fun to go downstairs and do those things with other colivers.

  • Find War Memorabilia in Your Living Room

Our Castle has experienced so much since it was built in the 12th century.
During World War II it was used as a HQ for Nazi soldiers and was freed by American soldiers at the end of the war.
If you look closely, you can still see bullet holes in the living room!

Do you think we’ve missed something? You are always very welcome to come and check it out by yourself!
Even after 3 years, we are discovering new unique ways, living in a castle brings surprises into our lives!
