French Immersion, the Normandy way 🥖
Learning French hits a little differently when you’re surrounded by it.
In March 2026, for the second time, our Château turns into a small pocket of French life. Between coworking session, we’ll speak the language of Molière through shared meals, daily conversations, and plenty of gentle encouragement to try, make mistakes, and keep going.
Add Normandy culture to the mix, and immersion happens naturally.
A few fun local facts you’ll quickly pick up:
- Normandy is the birthplace of Camembert (yes, that one 🧀)
- Locals swear by apples. Making cider, juice, desserts (and Calvados, a liquor as sweet as strong…)
- Normandy has more cows than people in some areas, which explains why butter, cream, and cheese (hello Camembert) are at the heart of the local cuisine
- Locals often joke that you can experience all four seasons in one day in Normandy which is why you’ll hear “on verra” (“we’ll see”) a lot when talking about the weather
Our French Immersion month is designed for real-life learning: structured classes with our teacher, Luc, native from the South, paired with everyday practice around the table, during walks, at the farmer’s market or while cooking together.
We’ll play games, we’ll laugh, we’ll have too much cheese, we’ll elect the best regional croissant, we’ll pretend we live many centuries ago, we’ll make mistakes, we’ll learn, and we’ll cry at the end – all together. 🫶
To make sure we’ll speak French (and improve) as best we can, this edition requires a B1 level to participate, but don’t worry, Luc has prepared a short placement test so you can get a better sense of where you’re at before joining.
